The game comes off the heels of the advanced Battlefield 2042, launched four years ago to a unfavorable response it found it hard to bounce back from.

"We most likely would not be able to make and develop the latest entry lacking the learnings we gained in the last release," Rebecka shares with our team.

Among those insights was to get fans engaged from the start, and the developers initiated exclusive fan testing sessions in recent months.

Their "response was incredibly favorable," says the manager.

Another absent element from the previous installment was a story mode, which has been restored this time around.

Criterion project head Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the one responsible for "making sure those missions are as fun and interesting as feasible for the players."

Regardless of allegations that the scale of the game had put a strain on the different teams working together internationally to create the project, he is optimistic about the work.

"Working with different cultures, distinct backgrounds, it's a really engaging environment to be engaged with on a regular basis," he shares.

"This whole strategy has been an innovation but additionally very inspiring because we are collaborating with team members from around the globe."

As for the anticipation on the developers, the director states: "There is demand but at the same time it's motivating.

"It's a major venture. It's probably the largest that the majority of the team have before worked on."

New Talent Brings New Perspective
