Satellite Imagery Show Iran's Naval Forces and Atomic Locations Targeted by Joint US and Israeli Strikes.

A wave of American and Israeli strikes has allegedly eliminated or harmed at least 11 Iranian naval vessels since Saturday, recently obtained orbital imagery demonstrate, with launch facilities and enrichment plants also sustaining hits.

Pictures of the southerly Konarak naval naval base and the Bandar Abbas port installation, which is located on the Strait of Hormuz and is home to the headquarters of the Iran's naval force, depict black smoke pouring from a number of ships on Monday and Tuesday.

Maritime Fleet Sustained Significant Losses

Included in the vessels destroyed was the IRINS Makran, Iran's largest naval vessel which had functioned as a drone carrier. Aerial imagery indicated dark plumes emanating from the ship which had been docked at the Bandar Abbas naval base.

Analytical assessments state that no fewer than a quintet of warships at Bandar Abbas were "damaged or eliminated". Photos of the southern end of the port depict smoke rising from the IRINS Makran, while another pair of vessels are visibly harmed, with one of them visibly ablaze.

Over at Konarak, photos display numerous harmed vessels, with intelligence reports pointing to impacts on a half-dozen warships. Pictures from Monday also indicate that several buildings at the base have been leveled.

"For many years the Iran's leadership has harassed commercial vessels," a senior US military official stated. "Now, there is not one Iranian ship underway in the Persian Gulf, Hormuz Strait or Gulf of Oman, and we will continue."

A number of vessels allegedly sunk may have been concealed in satellite images by cloud or smoke, or struck at sea, and have yet to be fully confirmed. Additional information stated that an Iranian vessel was sinking near Sri Lanka's territorial waters, resulting in a search and rescue mission.

Missile Installations and Nuclear Facilities Targeted

Neutralizing Iran's rocket sites and the hindering of enrichment activities were listed as further aims of the offensive. Aerial imagery also depicted impacts against the southerly Khorgu and northwestern Tabriz facilities, and at the Konarak air air base, where weapons bunkers and fortifications were hit.

At the Choqa Balk-e drone drone base to the west of Kermanshah, extensive destruction was identified to storage buildings, bunkers and unmanned aircraft systems.

Damage was also noted at a radar site at the Zahedan military airport in eastern parts of the country, near the border with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Perhaps most notably, the new round of attacks have apparently targeted sites at the Natanz complex – considered at the center of the country's enrichment efforts. The UN's atomic energy body commented that the damaged buildings were used for access to the site's below-ground enrichment facility and that "no nuclear fallout" was likely.

Broader Fallout and Analysis

Defense experts stated that the offensive appeared to have "largely neutralized" the Iranian navy's capacity to sustain conventional attacks using its most significant vessels. Nevertheless, it was noted that Iran still has the ability to launch irregular strikes at sea through the use of drones, small submarines and its so-called "ghost fleet" of tankers.

The total scale of the damage caused to Iran's defense infrastructure is still uncertain, with hostilities reportedly persisting. Imagery also indicates widespread destruction to the main offices of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards in the capital Tehran.

A significant number of non-military structures also are reported to have been hit in the capital and throughout Iran after the fighting began. Casualty figures from local officials indicate that hundreds of non-combatants may have been lost their lives in the bombardment.

With the conflict ongoing, monitoring of aerial photographs will carry on to document the changing scope of damage.
