In a unexpected collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also introduces the game's third free story content, titled "The Enigma."
